
Robert B. Shaw Jr., MD, earned his medical degree from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. At Stanford, Dr. Shaw was awarded the "Stanford University Medical Scientist Award,” and the 2005 "Excellence in Teaching Award.” Dr. Shaw completed his general and plastic surgery training at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. During his training, he was awarded with multiple awards for excellence in patient care, teaching, and research. He has written numerous papers and given over 25 national presentations on facial aging. His work on facial aging has resulted in interviews with CNN, MSNBC, USA Today, NPR, Allure, and Self. He was also honored to be listed in the global directory of, "Who’s Who in Healthcare and Medicine” in 2010. He also specializes in hand surgery. He, his wife Katy, and daughter Amelia are excited to be joining the Springfield community.
